André Rieu
André Rieu is a world famous dutch violinist and conductor by his performances of popular classical music. Amongst others these are from Joann Strauss. He had his breaktrough in 1994 with his performance of Sjostakovitsj' Second Waltz. In 2011 he performed a waltz that was composed by the moviestar Anthony Hopkins. André Rieu travels arround the world but also performs regulary in the Netherlands. Each year he arranges a yearly concert on the Vrijthof, this is the peak of the event calendar in his birth city Maastricht.
